Below is an overview of the requirements and possible approach to managing time well:

May
Students will be introduced to the project, will select their direction, and complete a proposal to be approved for their project.
  • Access ManageBac and become familiar with the platform for the worksheet, uploading, and posting process
  • Create an Action Plan an upload it to ManageBac, as part of PLANNING
  • The INVESTIGATION and PLANNING sections of the Process Journal are where to begin
  • Complete pages 30-33 in packet, select Personal Project, and Submit the proposal draft for approval. Once approved, access ManageBac and enter your proposal formally.

June - July - yes that's right, over summer! 😏
The goal of working on the project over the summer is to help limit the stress that can come from the overlap of this personal project with the intensity of the academic coursework during the 10th grade year.

  • Be sure that you are completing the entries for INVESTIGATION and PLANNING and sections of the Process Journal
    • For this you are working on the project, modifying if needed the action plan that is your calendar. You are also referencing your created criteria for self-assessment. You are also conducting research and recording it with photos and other means of evidence.
    • Be sure that you are uploading in ManageBac when possible.
  • If you have begun creating the project product at this point, be sure that you are making entries for the TAKING ACTION section of the process journal.

August/September
  • Be sure that you have completed the entries for INVESTIGATION, and that the PLANNING and  TAKING ACTION sections of the Process Journal are being uploaded and reflections are happening with these entries.
  • Meeting with Supervisors needs to happen between August 25 - September 3!
    • For this meeting you will be meeting with your supervisors and reviewing your progress on ManageBac and assessing the project.
